MAHASAMUND: In a tragic accident on Thursday afternoon, 24 people were seriously injured after a pickup van overturned in CGs Mahasamund district. The incident took place near Kasihimbahara village under Pithora PS limits. Amongst the injured 5 are stated to be critical.
According to sources, the vehicle was carrying 30-35 people from Lakshmipur to Keswa, Mahasumundar Chauthia when the driver lost control and swerved the lane leading to overturning.
Nine labourers injured after vehicle overturns in Chhattisgarh
The vehicle carrying nine labourers was on its way from Amartal village to the rice mill when the driver lost control of the vehicle and as a result, it overturned. On receiving the information, emergency forces were activated, and the police reached the spot and shifted the injured to the Community Health Centre in Pithora.
