RAIGARH: 2 died and 20 others were injured after a local bus overturned in Chhattisgarh’s Raigarh district.
The incident took place at Gharghoda-Charbhata turn in Raigarh district on Wednesday morning. The bus according to police officials was coming from Lailunga to Raigarh.
A team of Gharghoda police reached the spot on receiving the information and sent the injured to a nearby hospital.”Two of the passengers were killed, while 20 others are injured in the incident. The condition of 7 of those injured in the accident is critical. All of them have been shifted to Raigarh Medical College for treatment,” the police said.
Panchayat President Sillu Chowdhary also reached the spot to take stock of the situation. Locals also engaged in the rescue operations along with the rescue teams deployed.
Further details into the accident are being probed.
