Raipur: In yet another case of drug smuggling, Raipur police seized 18 kgs of Ganja and Nitro-10 intoxicant tablets. 5 accused have been nabbed in connection with the case, sources added.

Acting on a tip-off, NCB officials, Cyber cell officers and Tikarpara Police in a joint operation on Wednesday intercepted two persons at New Bus Stand located in Bhathagaon under the Tikarpara Police station area.  

According to reports, two accused involved in Ganja smuggling are identified as Mahendra Shrivas and Lalu Shrivas residents of Katni, Madhya Pradesh. The seized Ganja is estimated to be worth Rs 1,50,000.

In another operation, 3 more were nabbed for trafficking Nitro-10, a banned intoxicant tablet. Nearly 1,070 tablets were confiscated from their possession, sources said. 3 involved in drug tablet smuggling have been identified as Anil Dadsena alias Golu Sakin, a resident of Khanti Basti Dangnia, Tonu Agarwal and Amjad Khan hailing from Orissa
