Chattisgarh: 160 jawans deployed at the Naxal front have tested positive for COVID-19 during antigen testing. Reportedly, these Jawans returned after a leave and tested positive for the virus.
As per the statistics with the state health department, Jawans deployed in Sukma district were infected the most. Earlier, this month Chief Medial and Health Officer Sukma had informed that nearly 38 CRPF Jawans of the CRPF camp at Temelwada, Chintagufa returned positive on being tested for the novel virus. Taking control of the situation, all infected were quarantined in the barracks and close contacts have been advised to test themselves.
The state health ministry reports 32,792 active cases, including 653 that added yesterday. Nearly 10,132,70 recuperated so far. 13,654 deaths were reported since the outbreak.
