Bilaspur: In a shocking incident in Bilaspur district of Chhattisgarh, Sarkanda Police arrested the maternal uncle of a 15 year old girl who raped her earlier this year. The relative along with one of his friends sexually assaulted the girl when she along with her mother went on to meet the latter’s sister. The matter came into light on Wednesday when the victim’s family was informed about her pregnancy by the hospital.
Police has registered a rape case against both the accused named Chhabi Yadav (Maternal Uncle) and Kishan Yadav. Chhabi Yadav has been arrested by the Police while the other accused is still on the run. The 15 year old victim is a class 9 student and experienced pain in her stomach two days ago. On examination it was found that she is 6 months pregnant. The victim’s mother lodged a complaint after this incident came in into light in which she accused Chhabi Yadav of raping her daughter with his friend.
Meanwhile, Inspector Uttam Sahu in a statement said that the incident dates back to January 2022 and the second accused will be arrested soon.
