Raipur: The Chhattisgarh operation is a landmark shift from the previous events; a woman, Naxal, with a reward of Rs. 13 lakh, has surrendered to the officials. The particular woman in consideration is Renita, who is popularly known as hide Kavasi from the Sukma district. She has been operating with Naxalite since 2016, and she has an operation history with Naxalites during her service period.
The surrender happened in Kabirdham district, and the press conference to announce SP Abhishek Pallav and Collector Janmejay Mohbe did that. The authorities described the scenario in which she contemplated surrender and added the usefulness of the state surrender and rehabilitation policy. It was after the rehabilitation had been made that Renita was given a check worth ₹ 25000.
Renita was associated with the Naxalite organization, where she was an Area Committee Member (ACM) under the GRB Division. In this Tanda/Malajkhand area committee, she actively participated in the group. The attack had established her as a very prominent figure in the Naxal network, and attractive BHOs were put on her alive ₹5 lakhs in Chhattisgarh, ₹3 lakhs in Madhya Pradesh, and ₹5 lakh in Maharashtra, making a total of ₹13 lakh. In Balaghat of Madhya Pradesh, she had to withstand 19 criminal cases, whereas 3 cases were found against her in the Kheiragarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai district of Chhattisgarh SEC.
Renita’s decision to surrender demonstrates how well the state has conducted counter-insurgency operations as well as the rehabilitation measures geared towards restructuring the Naxalite and introducing him to a rightful manner of life. The authorities still believed such surrender would help in the processes aimed at decreasing the level of Naxalism in the region and establishing peace.
