RAIPUR: 12 people are injured in a head-on collision between a high speeding truck and a bus. The incident took place in Harichhapra village near the sugar factory on the National Highway.
According to Additional SP Manish Raote, the passenger bus was coming from Pandariya and the truck from Jagdalpur. Emergency team along with police officials immediately arrived at the spot after recieving information about the accident.
The 12 injured including children were immediately rushed to the nearest district hospital for treatment. Both the bus and the truck were removed from the highway using towing vehicle.
A probe into the accident has been launched. There are no details on the drivers of both the vehicles yet. Police is interacting with the eye witnesses to understand the sequence of events that led to the accident.
