Raipur: In a major haul, Chhattisgarh Police has seized 1,000 kg marijuana worth Rs 1.3 crore from a Truck and four-wheeler in Raipur district, police officials said in a press conference on Thursday.
The Six accused all hailed from Odisha, were nabbed by the Chhattisgarh police team near Mana road, Raipur, while acting on a tip-off, the police said in the conference here.
During checking of the Truck, police found contraband weighing 1,000 kg, they said.
Further informing about the case, police seized a truck, a swift desire and 5 mobiles from the all the accused.
During preliminary interrogation, it was revealed that the seized contraband was being supplied from Odisha to Chhattisgarh, the police said.
A case under Section 20B of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act was registered against the six accused in Mana police station, Raipur.
In the press conference, IG Anand Chhabra, SSP Arif Sheikh, ASP Pankaj Chandra, Rural ASP Tarkeshwar Patel were present to brief the media about the case.
