Bilaspur: Collector Amrit Vikas Topno has instructed the Health Department to immediately form an investigation committee after learning of the death of a 10-year-old boy due to an injection administered by a quack doctor in the village panchayat Hasaud under the Jaijaipur development block. As per Collector Topno’s instructions, the investigation committee formed by Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Pooja Agarwal will ensure a factual, impartial, and detailed investigation of the case.
Collector Amrit Vikas Topno expressed deep condolences over this tragic incident and stated that the district administration extends its deepest condolences to the victim’s family. He stated that it is the district administration’s priority to thoroughly investigate all aspects of the incident and uncover the true facts, so that the situation can be fully clarified and such incidents can be prevented from recurring. The Collector stated that sensitivity and responsibility are essential in matters concerning people’s lives. He further stated that the district administration is taking this matter seriously and is ensuring that the investigation process is conducted in a completely transparent and impartial manner.
According to information received from Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Pooja Agarwal, the committee formed to investigate the matter includes District Health and Family Welfare Officer Dr. P. Singh Kanwar, Pediatrician Dr. R.K. Raj, District Nodal Officer Nursing Home Act Dr. Sudarshan Bhardwaj, Block Medical Officer Dr. Umashankar Sahu, and Assistant Grade-03 Dhanshyam Suman.
The committee has been directed to thoroughly investigate the entire incident and submit its investigation report. CMHO Dr. Pooja Agarwal stated that during the investigation, all aspects related to the incident, the treatment process, the relevant circumstances, and the available facts will be comprehensively examined. Further necessary action will be taken based on the report submitted by the committee.
