Jyoti Singh, the wife of Bhojpuri actor and BJP leader, Pawan Singh, had an audience with Jan Suraaj founder and political strategist, Prashant Kishor, on Friday in Patna, raising the possibility of her getting a Bihar Assembly ticket as an MLA in the upcoming election. Nonetheless, Kishor dismissed these rumours with a categorical discourse and explained the agenda of the meeting.

“Jyoti ji came to meet us today. Let me put it quite clear, she has not come to argue about election contesting or getting any party ticket,” Kishor told reporters. She would like to discuss the personal challenges she has had to face and issues of her safety.

Kishor also said that although Jan Suraaj has nothing to do with her personal affairs, the party would be by her side in case her security is jeopardized. He said that she did not want any other woman to go through anything she experienced.

Jyoti Singh is also reported to have approached several leaders in the recent past following the mounting tensions in her marriage. The rift emerged when she recently paid a visit to Lucknow flat of Pawan Singh. The actor went away after more than an hour and half of stay at the residence, she remained behind. Soon police came to the scene. Jyoti followed up on the video afterwards crying and saying that she was harassed and threatened to be evicted.

There is no wrongdoing that Pawan Singh has denied. In one of the social media statements, he stated, Would I offend the feelings of the people who have aided me to reach this rank? The fact is, cops were already inside my house to make sure that nothing wrong occurs. No one was called against her.”

He also gave a subtle indication that the political scandal could also be of a political time concern, particularly as he could challenge the assembly elections on BJP ticket.
