Bengaluru: Ahead of a VVIP arrival in the city, the traffic police have made elaborate arrangements for Friday and Saturday, October 25 and 26, in Bengaluru.

The VVIP is planned to attend many events in different parts of the city that cause the local authorities to warn of possible traffic jams. Any array of activities should be scheduled in the respective time slots to avoid straining when dealing with newly introduced traffic patterns.

On October 25, parking will be strictly prohibited on several major roads from 4:15 PM to 9:00 PM. The areas to be avoided are HAL Airport Road, Cubbon Road, M.G. Road [Trinity to Mayohalli], Rajbhavan Road, Ambedkar Beedhi, etc. Persons passing through these regions during the above days are advised to use other routes in order to avoid any uneasiness.

On the next day, October 26, the VVIP will be launching a major event at Palace Ground, which will cause the crowd-puller factor to become a concern. This program is scheduled to run from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM, which also puts a lot of pressure with regard to traffic management.

For the people who are planning to reach the venue by bus, the route is Jayamahal Road; buses have to be parked at Circus Ground near the TV Tower. However, from this parking area, everyone will be required to walk to the venue. When everyone leaves, exiting will be through the Circus Ground and move along Jayamahal Road to Mekhri Circle.

Local authorities are calling on residents to obey the traffic laws to make the VVIP’s trip most comfortable. Since the city is preparing for this important event, it becomes pertinent to observe proper communication and coordination while planning to avoid any hindrance or compromise of the security of the visitor during the occasion. Passengers are advised to adhere to the press releases and lesions from the management and plan their journey on the bus accordingly.
