On Saturday, the helicopter of Union Home Minister Amit Shah failed to take off at Patna airport because of heavy fog and low visibility. Although late, Shah also spoke virtually at his planned rally in Gopalganj, but made preparations to meet at Samastipur and Vaishali, preceding the elections to the Bihar Assembly.
In his recent rally in Samastipur, Shah has been very optimistic that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will win in Bihar, stating that the opposition party had minimal chances. His prediction was clearly a clear win by NDA when he stated that the game ended at 1 PM on November 14 because the votes are counted by then and Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rahul Gandhi are succeeding in their game.
Using the Mahagathbandhan alliance as its target, Shah alleged that it propagated family politics rather than providing deserving leaders an opportunity. On the contrary, he lauded the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) due to their young and energetic candidates. He cited the example of 25-year-old Maithili Thakur in this view that the party believed in the leadership of the youth.
The huge attendance of his rallies all over the state also earned Shah applause as he attributed it to the desire of Bihar people to change things. These large crowds, I look everywhere I go, are a good sign that Bihar wishes to leave behind it its days of jungle raj, he said.
Based on the Mahabharata, Shah compared the NDA with the five Pandavas and the importance of alliance unity between partners. It is not all about making the MLAs or the ministers; this is a declaration that seeks to make Bihar free of corruption and lawlessness and excited the supporters as the campaign enters into its decisive phase.
