With Aero India 2025 just around the corner, traffic police of Bengaluru has said Yelahanka traffic will be under strict restrictions and diversions from 10th to 14th of February to ensure smooth and safe movement around Yelahanka Air Force Station. The police said in a statement these arrangements are made to accommodate a large number of people attending the high-profile event and ensure safety.
Starting 5 a.m. February 10 and throughout the day February 14, key routes going in and out of the airbase will be under traffic restrictions, and beginning at 5 a.m. on February 10, the U.S. Air Force will enforce traffic restrictions from 5 am to 10 pm on these and all other days. The greater change would be one-way traffic on some of the roads to facilitate smooth movement of traffic. One-way restrictions will be applied to the following roads.
Nitte Meenakshi College Road: One-way from east to west
Bagaluru Main Road: One-way from west to east
Bengaluru traffic police has asked the attendees to make the best use of free parking facilities at the GKVK campus. Along with this, BMTC will provide free shuttle buses between the GKVK parking area and the Air Display Viewing Area (ADVA) as well as abroad the domestic areas, making for the hassle free commute for the visitors of the event.
For those preferring paid parking options, specific areas have been earmarked.
ADVA Parking: Accessible via Gate No. 8 and Gate No. 9
Domestic Parking: Accessible via Gate No. 5
The traffic police have also recommended alternative routes for the audiences coming from different parts of Bengaluru. Therefore, if traveling east to Athe DVA parking area, the following is the recommended route:
K.R. Puram – Nagavara – right turn – Thanisandra – Telecom Layout – Jakkuru Cross – Yelahanka Bypass – Coffee Day – Palanahalli Gate service road – Ford Showroom – ADVA parking
In other words, these measures are set to ease traffic flow and reduce congestion, as well as provide safety and convenience for all attenders of the Aero India 2025.
