Virat Kohli on the other hand demonstrated his typical calmness and composure as he anchored the Delhi chase. Kohli, with a solid but assertive pace, hit a quality half-century and seemed to be heading in the direction of a century, taking his time taking his team through what seemed like a difficult run chase. Rohit and Kohli were inseparable and they dominated the competition beyond reasonable doubt and asserted their dominance in the List A cricket.
Although the veterans made headlines, a young Vaibhav Suryavanshi played a scintillating role on behalf of Bihar, making one of the most explosive knocks in the history of the Vijay Hazare Trophy. The adolescent genius missed out significantly on a record-breaking 200 but his 190 with only 84 balls shocked the cricketing fraternity. his 15 towering sixes, the second fastest List A century by an Indian, and his rapid 150 in List A cricket (reaching the mark of 10 balls faster than the record before) all marked his innings.
