Australia: Pakistan defeated New Zealand by seven wickets in the first semi-final match of the ongoing T20 World Cup. Batting first after winning the toss, New Zealand scored 152 runs for four wickets. Darrell Mitchell scored 53 and Kane Williamson scored 46 for New Zealand. Shaheen Afridi took two wickets for Pakistan.
Chasing 153 runs, the pair of Babar and Rizwan gave Pakistan a great start. Both of them made a partnership of 105 runs for the first wicket and decided Pakistan’s victory. Babar scored 53 and Rizwan scored 57. In the end, Haris Rauf played an innings of 30 runs to take Pakistan to victory. Trent Boult took two wickets for New Zealand.
The Pakistan team has reached the final of the T20 World Cup for the first time since 2009. Now in the final match, Pakistan will face the winner of the match between India and England. If India wins the semis then it will be the Ind-Pak final which the whole world has an eye for!
Due to the brilliant bowling of Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, Pakistan’s team won the match and secured their seat in the finals. It will be a delight to watch India and Pakistan come face to face in the finals if India wins the semi-final match to be held tomorrow.
