Sydney, Australia: The last day’s match at the T20 World Cup between Afghanistan and NZ was entirely dismissed due to rain, and another match between England and Ireland on the same day was halfway completed before the rain stopped the match. As India has a match today with the Netherlands, millions of cricket lovers prayed for no rain in the Sydney sky today.
And it seems their prayers have been answered as the Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Forecast stated that the chances of rain today are merely 20% with the percentage decreasing more in the evening hours. There is also a slight chance of thunderstorms during the evening hours.
As of now, the match has already started without any hindrance from the weather. Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bat first. The last match against Pakistan was one of the best matches in the history of Cricket. And the fresh win will definitely boost the Indian cricket teams’ morale in the upcoming matches. We wish rain doesn’t play spoilsport anymore.
