Sports: The Indian Cricket Council has announced the schedule of the upcoming T20 World cup today. It is to take place in the UAE from October 17 and the final match will be played on Nov 14 in Dubai at a local time of 6 pm. The qualifiers round will be played from Oct 17 to Oct 22 and the super 12 matches will commence from Oct 23.
In the super 12 categories, Team India is placed in Group B against their arch-rival Pakistan. The other Group B members include New Zealand and Afghanistan. In Group A also 4 teams will play that includes England, South Africa, West Indies, and Australia. The most anticipated match of the tournament- India vs Pakistan will take place on Oct 24 and thereon as both teams qualify.
The qualifiers match will start with group 1 teams Oman and Papua New Guinea at local time 2 pm and the second match will start from 6 pm local time with other Group B members. The top 2 teams in each group will then play the super 12 matches with other teams. The semi-final 1 will be played in Abu Dhabi on Nov 10 at local time 6 pm while the 2nd semi-final will be played in Dubai on Nov 11 at 6 pm local time. Meanwhile, the last leg of IPL 2021 is all set to kickstart again from Sept 19 in UAE before the T20 world cup begins.
