Rohit Sharma has always been considered as one of the most tactful in cricket, a leader who comprehends the game and has been able to produce success in both local and global level. He was the captain of Mumbai Indians in the Indian premier league and that team won five titles and this made Indian premier league one of the most successful in the history of the league. At the global scene, he helped India national cricket team to win two grand ICC trophies as he headed the team as a captain.
Despite the fact that Sharma, who retired in Tests and T20 Internation but continues to play in One Day Internation, is no longer the captain of the national team, he is still hopeful about the nation in the international competitions. In his opinion, the recent performances of India in ICC competition in the male as well as female cricket teams is not a momentum but a long time work and planning.
In the case of the men team, India has had a remarkable success since 2024 winning two ICC Men -T20 World Cup and one ICC Champions Trophy. Meanwhile, the India women national cricket team made history by winning their first-ever ICC Women cricketing world cup last year. The youth level has also not been left behind as India Under-19 cricket team won the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup earlier this year.
Sharma thinks that such a collective success is the result of a good organization of Indian cricket. He pointed out that success in the field can only be achieved due to the inexhaustible work of not just the players but also coaches, analysts, support staff and administrators who work round the clock. Having such a strong system, Sharma is convinced that India is in a good position of winning more major trophies in near future and also maintain its domination in international cricket.
