New Delhi: PV Sindhu scripted history for India as she defeated He Bing Jiao of China on Sunday as she defeated He Bing Jiao 21-13 and 21-15 in the Bronze medal match. Meanwhile, Indian men’s hockey team etched history by reaching the Olympic semi-finals after 49 years cruising past Great Britain 3-1.
Sindhu became the first Indian woman to win two individual Olympic medals. She was cynical throughout the contest, not giving her opponent any chance to win the match.
