Mumbai Indians (MI) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are two of the biggest heavy weights in IPL and will lock horns in a high voltage showdown on a legendary Wankhede Stadium. However, MI’s faltering campaign this IPL 2020 is in the spotlight, with the return of Jasprit Bumrah in the limelight. The five time champions have started on the wrong foot, having won just just one of their first four matches, most notably losing against Lucknow Super Giants by a close margin in their last outing. The arrival of Bumrah, one of the best and lethal bowlers over the last couple of years in all forms of cricket, is being viewed as a potential game changer for an already struggling side.

RCB, however, are also feeling the heat after a defeat, their first of the season, at the hands of Gujarat Titans. They will be eager to get back on winning ways and will want to exploit MI’s inconsistency, while MI are more than formidable at home.

The IPL also has two of their bests against each other—Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Now, as Kohli started the season strongly with a half-century, he has cooled off somewhat in recent games. However, playing back to the stadium where he produced a World Cup semi-century can rekindle flames. On the other hand Rohit Sharma was rested in the last match due to injury but is available for selection. They might be the key to MI’s success, his form and leadership.

MI’s problems go beyond Rohit. Will Jacks and Ryan Rickelton are still trying to get in the rhythm of playing overseas, while overseas team players have not yet clicked as a unit. It has also affected other Indian stars in the form of Surykumar Yadav, Tilak Varma and Hardik Pandya.

However, RCB can take a bit of solace with their well balanced bowling lineup, which has been one among their strong points at the start of the season.
