Sports: IPL 2020, which is the thirteenth season of the Indian Premier League, is beginning from today, September 19.  This will be a blockbuster opening of the IPL 2020 when the four-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI) will clash against the three-time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi on Saturday. After 435 days, Cricket fans rejoiced and the excitement can be seen on all over social media platforms.

The tournament was originally scheduled for March 29, though it got delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Just like past years, Star Sports is the official broadcaster for the IPL matches. Disney+ Hotstar, on the other hand, has been titled the “official digital streaming partner” for the tournament in India.

A day before the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said that media would not be allowed in the cricket stadium because of strict  health protocols in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic.

The order came after BBCI gave coordinate inclusion rules on Friday (September 19). The rules also stated that there will be no public interview held before the match and a virtual media conference will be held after all matches. However, it has allowed the media registrations for UAE media only.

In an announcement, BCCI stated, ”The Dream 11 Indian Premier League 2020 is being held in a closed stadium in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Given the health and security convention, media staff won’t be permitted inside the stadium to cover the match or to cover the group’s training meeting.”

The BCCI said that it comprehends the degree of enthusiasm for the group and that is the reason the game plan for the virtual question and answer session after each match is made obligatory. Be that as it may, writers enlisted with the BCCI will keep on getting public statements and normal updates when each match.

These press releases will contain information about the way toward joining a virtual question and answer session after the match and sending inquiries to group agents during match days. The BCCI will also give 35 photos each match to these perceived media and will remain so all through the tournament.

According to the release, ‘the photograph ought to be utilized for editorial purposes just and credit must be given to BCCI/IPL on every stage’.
