The Indian women’s contingent on Monday departed for London, England from Barcelona ahead of the CWG2022. The team is set to carry out its last preparation camp for CWG in Nottingham before they fly to Birmingham on July 23rd to participate in the CWG.
The Indian team finished joint-ninth with China at the FIH Hockey Women’s world cup in Spain and Netherlands which was held from July 1st to 17.
The Indian Hockey Team is scheduled to compete against Ghana in their first match of Commonwealth Games 2022 on July 29th.
The CWG 2022 is scheduled to be held in Birmingham from July 28 till August 8. A total of 215 athletes, participating in 141 events across 19 sporting disciplines, will represent India in the CWG 2022.
