The third Test being played between India and England at the Lord’s is still hanging at a knife-edge, with Day 4 being the next episode in the ongoing saga. Similar to the last two matches, this Test has provided a tense back-and-forth, and with the penultimate day of the game, the match is very tense.

England was 2/0 at the end of Day 3 with just one over to face before stumps. On the 4th day of the game, the openers, Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett, will come out at the crease in the hope that England gets to score a big Pinnacle. The encounter, however, turned sour at the end of the day with Indian captain Shubman Gill and Crawley involved in a heated coming together where the former accused Crawley of doing it on purpose and slowing down play, a move that amped up the mood of the match.

Earlier, India replicated the first-innings score of 387 by England, as KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant had done well. The two constructed an authoritative partnership, and after Pant scored 74 off 112 balls, he was run out in the last over before lunch, a dismissal in which Rahul later apologized because it showed that the batter wanted to end his century before getting through the break.

Rahul later got his hundred in the post-lunch session, only to be dismissed as soon as he got the hundred. This time, however, unlike the other collapses, the middle order of India remained strong. Ravindra Jadeja played a crucial half-century, and even Washington Sundar and Nitish Kumar Reddy played helpful roles.

Although there was a slight collapse when Rahul was dismissed as India lost a wicket 11 balls later, the lower order helped keep India at par with England. Both teams are deigned at 387 and given the condition of the ground, where the bowlers also get assistance; the result is a foregone conclusion. The fourth day is going to be very important because India will want to attack early in the day with the new ball by Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj.
