India made an impressive start at the Asian Games 2023 by securing its first gold medal. Aishwary Pratap Singh, Divyansh Singh Panwar, and Rudrankksh Patil clinched the top spot in the 10m air rifle men’s team event on a momentous Monday.

The jubilation continued as the women’s cricket team achieved another milestone by defeating Sri Lanka by 19 runs, securing India’s second gold medal of the 2023 campaign. Adding to this impressive haul, India also earned two bronze medals in rowing on the same day, with remarkable performances in the men’s fours and men’s quadruple sculls events.

Furthermore, Aishwary Pratap Singh, displaying exceptional shooting prowess, claimed an individual bronze in the men’s 10m air rifle event, contributing to India’s growing medal tally. The men’s 25m rapid-fire pistol team also secured a bronze, further boosting India’s achievements.
