Wellington: A brilliant all-round show has handed India a win in the series at Sky Stadium at Wellington. Suryakumar Yadav was adjudged Player of the Match for his stunnings ton as India bundle out New Zealand for 126, win by 65 runs.

“A convincing victory for Team India as they beat New Zealand by 65 runs with 7 deliveries to space”, tweeted BCCI minutes after India’s win.

“The plan was clear when I went into bat. At the 12th/13th over, we thought about batting deep and getting around 170-175 was a par score. Secret is about the intent and you need to enjoy”, said SKY after the match.

The Wellington weather played a big spoilsport ensuring that even the toss didn’t take place between India and New Zealand n 1st ODI. However, New Zealand captain Kane Williamson won the toss for 2nd ODI and opted to bat against India.
