Hangzhou: Medals continue to pour in India as Canoeist Prachi Yadav and quartermiler Deepthi Jeevanji clinched a gold each on the second day of competitions as India’s medal rush in Hangzhou Asian Para Games continued. Prachi won a silver in canoe VL2 category on Monday, bagged her second medal of the Games as she picked up a gold in KL2 event.

Deepthi won a gold in women’s T20 category 400m race with the Games and Asian record timing of 56.69 seconds.

In a more recent update, rising shooter Sarabjot Singh won a Bronze in 10m Air Pistol and secured Paris Olympic quota for India. Sports Authority of India has been consistent in updating about the winners. It also wrote on X to congratulate winners.

With seven medals, including two gold on the second day, India’s medal tally has swelled to 24 (8 gold, 8 silver, and 8 bronze).

India continues to shine in the 4th Asian Para Games, with Deepthi Jeevanji securing a gold medal in the women’s 400m-T20 event. Deepthi set a new Asian Para Games record and games record with her exceptional time of 56.69 seconds. This remarkable performance earned her the top spot on the podium. Thailand’s Orawan Kaising gave her best effort, clocking a personal best of 59.00 seconds, but she had to settle for the silver medal. Japan’s Niina Kanno won the bronze with a personal best time of 59.73 seconds.
