Bangladesh: The second match of the two-match Test series being played between India and Bangladesh will start from tomorrow, December 22. This match is to be played in Dhaka. After taking a 1-0 lead in the two-Test series, the Indian team is gearing up to win this match and seal the series.
But ahead of the match, there is a bad news for the team India fans. KL Rahul, who is captaining in place of Rohit Sharma, has been injured during net practice today. Doubts remain about him playing the match tomorrow.
India’s batting coach Vikram Rathour informed about the same during a press conference. “It doesn’t look serious. He seems to be fine. The doctors are looking at it, but hopefully, he’ll be okay”, he said during the pre-match press conference.
Apparently, the current captain of the Indian team, KL Rahul was practicing on the ground in Dhaka before the match. Meanwhile, during the throw-down, the ball hit his finger directly after which he started moaning in pain and was immediately given treatment by the medical team.
According to Vikram Rathour, Rahul’s injury is not that dangerous and he is under the observation of the medical team. Rathour is hopeful that he will definitely play the next match. If Rahul does not play this match, then Cheteshwar Pujara will be seen captaining the team for the first time. KL Rahul was made captain as Rohit Sharma also got injured during the 2nd ODI match against Bangladesh and his thumb got hurt badly.
