The much-awaited Champions Trophy 2025 is here. The prestigious ICC tournament is going to start from Wednesday, February 19, in which co-host and defending champion Pakistan will face New Zealand in the opening match in Karachi. Team India, captained by Rohit Sharma, will start its campaign against Bangladesh on Thursday. The event, second only to the World Cup in the one-day game, runs till March 9 and is the first global cricket tournament hosted by Pakistan in almost three decades.
India’s matches will be played in the UAE as the sport’s financial powerhouse has refused to tour its neighboring country due to long-running political tensions. The month-long impasse ended in December when the International Cricket Council said India would play its games in Dubai.
