Manchester: One of the greatest footballers in the world, Cristiano Ronaldo, has accused his club Manchester United of cheating a few days before the FIFA World Cup. In an interview, Ronaldo made several allegations against Manchester United and club manager Erik Ten Haag.
He also claimed that some senior people involved in the club do not want to see him at Old Trafford (the home ground of Manchester United). After this interview came to light, Manchester United decided to take action against Ronaldo. The club has decided that it will demand a fine of one million pounds (about 9.55 crores) on Ronaldo.
Ronaldo did not get a chance to play in many matches for the club this season. He was not even included in the starting XI. He came on as a substitute in several matches. Ronaldo was also left out of the squad against Fulham on Sunday. The team won this match by 2-1. In an interview given to famous journalist Piers Morgan, Ronaldo revealed many things and vented his anger.
Here is what Ronaldo said about manager Eric ten Haag- “I do not have respect for him (Tein Haag) because he does not show respect for me. If you don’t have respect for me, I will never have respect for you.” Ronaldo joined the club in 2021 after 12 years. He left Manchester United in 2009. After this, he joined the famous Spanish club Real Madrid. From there he again played for Italy’s club Juventus.
Ronaldo wanted to leave Manchester United before the 2022–23 season, but could not find a new club. He said, “Manchester United tried to get me out. Not only the manager but also two-three senior people who are at the club are involved. I felt betrayed. People should hear the truth. It seems that some people didn’t want to see me here. It’s not just this year, it was the same last season as well.” Ronaldo’s fans have been raging the social media in his support since his interview came out.
