One new coaching name in the swimming circles has recently drawn a lot of attention, and this is because of his good looks in his very handsome and fit body, rather than as a coach. The viral Chinese high school graduating coach Chen is a new phenomenon on Chinese social media, and all parents, particularly mothers, are in awe that she is behind their children as they learn to swim.
Chen works part-time at one of the most famous Sports schools in China: Hangzhou Chenjinglun Sports School, and studies at Nanjing Sport Institute. As he trains a group of about 20 kids in the age group of four to five, it is not only his methods of coaching that have caught the attention. A number of videos of Chen in action, in which he is seen in bright swim trunks or shirtless, have gone viral since July. The videos, the majority of which are recorded and placed online by the mothers of the children themselves, display him teaching the swimming lessons with energy and attentiveness, but it is the charming looks that have become the sensation of the internet.
Hangzhou Chenjinglun Sports School is known to have produced Olympic athletes like Sun Yang and Chen Yufei, and this school will always draw a large crowd during the summertime. Almost 800 children this year have joined in its swimming programs. But it was Coach Chen who seemed to become the surprise of the season.
He has already become so popular that even a funny fashion appears on the net. Several social media users (especially mothers) have added that they are more excited about the classes (swim classes) than their children. Others even to the extent of joking that they need to register so that they could at least see the young coach.
There has also been a beneficial side-effect to the attention: a marked rise in the number of people showing interest in the swimming lessons at the school. Although Coach Chen comes into the limelight due to his good looks, it is his commitment towards the sport and his young chess pupils that are keeping him there.
