Sports: After testing positive for coronavirus super cricketer Sachin Tendulkar had gone into self-quarantine. However, latest reports reveal the ace cricketer is hospitalized under medical advice six days after he tested positive.
He was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai on 1st April as a matter of abundant precaution. The batsman informed about the development on Twitter today morning where he wrote that he hopes to come back home soon and also wished the 10th anniversary of India’s ODI World Cup win in 2011.
“Thank you for your wishes and prayers. As a matter of abundant precaution under medical advice, I have been hospitalized. I hope to be back home in a few days. Take care and stay safe everyone. Wishing all Indians & my teammates on the 10th anniversary of our World Cup win,” Sachin Tendulkar tweeted today. Notably, India ended their 28-year-old World Cup drought on April 2, 2011, when MS Dhoni inspired his team to a six-wicket win over Sri Lanka for their second ICC Cricket World Cup at a jam-packed Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
The veteran cricket superstar portrayed his sheer in the World Road Safety series 2021 held in Raipur. Four members of the India Legends squad — Tendulkar, Subramaniam Badrinath, Irfan Pathan and Yusuf Pathan confirmed that they had tested positive for COVID-19 merely days after the tournament’s completion.
