ICC Chooses To Move Out of Pakistan
The International Cricket Council (ICC) is considering moving the entire Champions Trophy out of Pakistan. According to Vikrant Gupta, the ICC has three options, and organizing the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Dubai, Sri Lanka, or South Africa is one of them.
The first is to play the entire tournament in Pakistan, while the second is to go for a Hybrid model, with Pakistan hosting most of the league matches while Dubai gets Team India’s games, the semi-finals, and the final.
The apex body of international cricket is preparing budgets for all three options. However, the hybrid model is likely to be the course of action at the moment, with PCB retaining the hosting rights.
