Sports: The former Indian all-rounder and assistant coach Sanjay Bangar is selected to play the role of Batting consultant for Bangalore IPL team; RCB.

The Bangalore based cricket franchise took to twitter to share their enthusiasm on Bangar’s addition to the team. “We are delighted to welcome Sanjay Bangar to the RCB Family as a batting consultant for #IPL2021! Welcome aboard, Coach! #PlayBold#WeAreChallengers#NowARoyalCHallenger,” read the caption on the official handle of RCB’s Twitter.

From 2014-2019; Bangar was seen in the Indian Team until Vikram Rathour replaced him at the home season in September. His sportsmanship was witnessed in the West Indies tour, following which he concluded his tenure in the team with the ODI World Cup.

In the IPL franchise; Bangar worked with Kings XI Punjab as head coach where he was initially appointed as assistant coach. The team registered their maiden appearance in the finale of 2014 IPL under the guidance of Bangar.

The 48-year-old cricketer will be accompanied by Mike Hesson, the director of cricket operations for RCB and Simon Katich, the head coach in the coaching team. While Sridharan Sriram will also be a part of the team as the batting and spin-bowling coach in coordination with Adam Griffith being the bowling coach.
