Sydney: India’s Master-Blaster Sachin Tendulkar has come out in support of the McGrath Foundation, an initiative to help patients dealing with Breast Cancer.
Former rivals Glenn McGrath and Sachin Tendulkar reconnected off the field for a noble cause ahead of the ‘Pink Test’ between India and Australia at Sydney, which kicks off on Thursday. Sachin Tendulkar has extended his support to Aussie’s McGrath Foundation of breast cancer initiative, to help patients dealing with Breast Cancer.
The legendary Batsman has handed over a team India’s shirtsigned by him, which will be put for auction by the McGrath Foundation that is involved in charity work and creating awareness towards breast cancer across Australia.
As has been the case for the past few years the Sydney Test between India and Australia will be played as the ‘Pink Test’ this time as well. The funds collected during the Test will go to the McGrath Foundation, which will help to raise one million Dollars to place ‘McGrath Breast Care Nurses’ in communities across Australia and increase awareness about the disease.
The battling Maestro has taken to Twitter to share that it was a wonderful experience meeting his old adversary and termed the McGrath Foundation’s effort as a ‘noble’ cause.
