Research conducted by a news agency reveals that AstraZeneca, which produces the Covid vaccine, Covishield, has faced complaints of its vaccine’s side effects in court. The vaccine minimizes the clotting of blood and lowers the platelet count in rare instances of such occurrences.
It is a court of law held in the UK against the biggest pharmaceutical company, the Briton, over claims of deaths and serious side effects to vaccines. Its research claims that as many as 51 cases have been brought in the UK High Court with damages of up to £100 million in consideration. While the UK government has the power to make a decision that grants AstraZeneca immunity from the law, it has not yet intervened in this ongoing legal case.
Jamie Scott, the initial complainant in question, professes having sustained a serious brain injury that later turned permanent after being inoculated with Covishield in April 2021. AstraZeneca disputes this argument but has confirmed in large part the risks of vaccines on TTS syndrome (THBsTC) in extremely rare cases.
Besides this, TTS gives rise to blood clots and a low blood platelet count, with the latter pointing to AstraZeneca’s detail that the allegation of causation in individual cases mandates expert evidence. Thereby, the company is finding its way via the threshold of legal defence that is equal to remuneration by the victims and their families.
This profession stands against the previous AstraZeneca’s words in 2023, claiming that this could not be the kind of vaccine side effects. The company responds by denouncing accusations of ineffective vaccines and rhetoric, which moves the goalposts, stating that their priority is safety.
The aforementioned vaccine regulators and agencies have discovered that there is a link associated with the Covishield vaccine, VITT, and TTS (thrombocytopenic purpura). Legal experts argue that this is a subset of the TTS condition. Nonetheless, AstraZeneca disputed that claim, mentioning that they believe each and every person should offer a risk assessment of their vaccination before any administration.
