Congress leader Rahul Gandhi accused PM Modi of halting India’s actions against Pakistan’s terror camps under Trump’s direction during a rally in Bihar. Rahul Gandhi’s statement, at a Muzaffarpur rally in poll-bound Bihar as part of the ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’, comes hours after Donald Trump once again doubled down on his claim of playing a catalyst in the truce between India and Pakistan following military conflict in May.
The DMK chief, MK Stalin who was a part of the rally, praised Rahul Gandhi, stating that he could not be cowed down. Stalin, referring to Rahul and Tejashwi, who often are seen on motorcycles, had said that their friendship goes beyond politics, and this is a real friendship. He said that there was no doubt that with a transparent process of election, the INDIA bloc would rout the BJP-led NDA in Bihar.
US Response on Trade War
The whopping 50 per cent tariffs that the US has slapped on Indian goods come into effect from today (August 27). Worst-hit are likely to be textiles, gems, jewellery, carpets and furniture, and shrimps.
