Bengaluru: Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar will be heading to Delhi, today for a Congress Leaders Meet. The Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister will be visiting there separately. Their purpose for the visit is to meet with the Congress high command and engage in discussions regarding the crucial matters of cabinet expansion and portfolio allocation for existing Ministers.
Siddaramaiah will be leaving for Delhi at 6:30 PM through a special flight. He is expected to stay overnight in the national capital. On the other hand, Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar’s tour program indicates that he will leave Bengaluru in the afternoon and arrive in Delhi by evening.
The swearing ceremony took place on 20 May. In this ceremony, Siddaramaiah was appointed as the Chief Minister. While DK Shivakumar was appointed as the Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka. Additionally, eight legislators were also sworn in as Ministers. However, the allocation of portfolios to these Ministers has been pending since then.
The meetings in Delhi hold significant importance as they will determine the future direction of Karnataka’s government and the functioning of various ministries.
