According to sources the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has selected Raghav Chadha as the leader of the Rajya Sabha taking over from Sanjay Singh. The AAP leadership officially informed the Rajya Sabha Chairman about this change citing health reasons and officially appointing Raghav Chadha as their representative in the house.

Sanjay Singh, who is an AAP MP is currently in custody related to the Delhi liquor policy case. The Rajya Sabha secretariat has confirmed that they have received a letter from the AAP nominating Mr Chadha as their floor leader. The letter is currently being processed by the Secretary General of Rajya Sabha.

It’s worth noting that Raghav Chadha is one of the members of Rajya Sabha. With 10 MPs in the Upper House, the AAP stands as the party after BJP, Congress and TMC.

This decision to appoint Raghav Chadha as their representative in Rajya Sabha highlights AAP’s commitment to ensuring representation during Sanjay Singhs’ absence due to health issues and ongoing legal proceedings.

This development holds importance not for the party itself but also, within the broader political landscape of the Rajya Sabha. The AAP has emerged as a presence ranking fourth in terms of strength. With Raghav Chadha leading in the house we anticipate an outlook and active participation, in the AAPs parliamentary endeavors.

As the AAP continues to play a prominent role in national politics, the appointment of Raghav Chadha as the leader in Rajya Sabha reinforces the party’s adaptability and strategic decision-making in the face of evolving circumstances.
