Chandigarh: The wedding ceremony of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann with Dr. Gurpreet Kaur is underway at his residence in Chandigarh today. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also graced the occasion by attending the Anand Karaj ceremony at his residence.
The security has been tightened outside Mann’s residence as guests are arriving. Rajya Sabha member Raghav Chadha was among the first ones to arrive.
This is Mann’s second marriage, with Mann’s mother Harpal Kaur acquainted with Kaur’s family. Hours before tying the knot, the bride took to Twitter to say that the auspicious day has arrived. “Din Shagna Da Chadyaa”.
Former Deputy CM, OP Soni also congratulated the newlywed couple through a tweet.
Mann was first married to Inderpreet Kaur. They split in 2015 and Kaur left India after her divorce. Mann and Kaur are parents to two children, a boy Dilshaan Mann and a girl Seerat Kaur Mann. The cause of divorce was not revealed.
