On Friday, arrested BJP leader G Devaraje Gowda said that Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar promised him 100 crore to defame previous Chief Minister and JDS state President HD Kumaraswamy and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Devaraje Gowda spoke to reporters from his police vehicle after being brought to judicial detention on Friday, claiming that Mr. Shivakumar handed him a ₹5 crore advance.
After I refused the deal, the cops charged me, and I was arrested. I am prepared to expose him (DK Shivakumar) whenever I am free. “The Congress government in Karnataka will collapse,” he claimed.
Devaraje Gowda went on to say, “I was directed to submit a statement that it was HD Kumaraswamy who spread the pen drives containing sex films (involving Kumaraswamy’s nephew Prajwal Revanna, grandson of ex-PM HD Deve Gowda). However, DK Shivakumar received the pen drive from Karthik Gowda, a driver for Prajwal Revanna, and plotted the entire scenario.
Devaraje Gowda said that a committee of four ministers, consisting of N. Cheluvarayaswamy, Krishna Byre Gowda, and Priyank Kharge, was formed to manage the developments surrounding the sex tape incident. They had made a deliberate effort to undermine Prime Minister Modi, HD Kumaraswamy, and the BJP. They offered me ₹100 crore and provided a ₹5 crore settlement to Room No. 110 at the Bowring Club. Devaraje Gowda claimed that a local politician from Channarayapatna, Gopalaswamy, had been sent to facilitate the transaction.
DK Shivakumar made a ₹100 crore promise to harm Prime Minister Modi by linking him to the sex scandal. “Shivakumar’s main goal is to defeat Kumaraswamy politically,” he said. When I refused to assist in their plans, they charged me with an atrocity but could not find any evidence.
Later, they helped me with a sexual harassment complaint. When this plan failed, they brought a rape charge against me. “I endured questioning for four days, but they couldn’t get anything,” he said.
I have audio recordings of Shivakumar’s chats. As the police car drove away, Devaraje Gowda declared, “I will release them, and the Congress government will collapse once I am out of prison.” On May 6, Devaraje Gowda stated that Shivakumar was responsible for the distribution of the pen drive with videos of sexual assault. He also stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was Congress’ primary aim.
“I don’t trust the Special Investigation Team (SIT). I will submit all of the proof to the CBI. “The videos in my hands vary from those that have been released,” he asserted. Devaraje Gowda was detained by Karnataka police six days ago for sexual harassment and brutality.
