New Delhi: Delhi Court today extended the judicial custody of former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia till April 17. The development came after the Central Bureau o Investigation (CBI_ sought an extension, contending that its probe was at a crucial stage.

The senior AAP leader was produced before the Rouse Avenue Court today in case pertaining to alleged irregularities in the framing and implementation of the state’s now scrapped excise policy.

The fedral agency claimed that the investigation is at the crucial stage in the corruption case linked to the scam.

The CBI had arrested former deputy CM Manish Sisodia in March in connection with the alleged corruption in the formulation and implementation of the now-scrapped liquor policy for 2021-22. Court had sent Mr Sisodia to judicial custody till March 20 in the case and has not been released so far.
