Mainpuri: SP President Akhilesh Yadav has made a big announcement regarding the Lok Sabha elections to be held in the year 2024. He said that he will contest the 2024 elections from Kannauj. Actually, during a program in Kannauj, he said this in response to a question. Talking to a reporter, the former UP CM said, “What will I do if I am sitting empty? I will fight the election. Our job is to contest elections.”
The Samajwadi Party’s National President and former UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav was in Mainpuri to attend a program for the ex-servicemen who guarded the country’s border with full responsibility. He said, “In the same way (that you have guarded the country), guard the Lok Sabha seat responsibly. Win the election by giving one vote in memory of Netaji (Mulayam Singh Yadav).” The former Chief Minister was at the Sainik Sammelan at the SP office on Wednesday.
Akhilesh Yadav also raised questions on the Agniveer Sena recruitment scheme. He said that one who wants to serve the country will never want to become an Agniveer. “One who wants to serve the country will never want to become Agniveer. Recruitments were done in Farrukhabad, but no one got a job. The government is saying that it is saving the budget through these schemes, but when the country itself will not survive, how can the budget survive”, he said.
The SP chief also said that when Netaji made up his mind to take a decision, no one could stop him while paying tribute to him. Later in the day, the former Chief Minister, Akhilesh Yadav also met people by going door to door in the city and urged them to vote mindfully.
