New Delhi: Khap Panchayat will go hand in hand with the wrestlers in their fight against injustice. As Panchayat took place in Shamli, Uttar Pradesh yesterday, it will continue in Sonipat and Delhi today. A video of scuffle between the members of the Khap Panchayat went viral.

Meanwhile, WFI chief who is also a Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) Lok Sabha MP will address a party rally in Katra area of Uttar Pradesh’s Kaiserganj, his constituency on June 11. The rally is being organized under BJP’s Mahasampark Abhiyan for the 2024 elections.

Elite wrestlers Vinesh Phogat, Sakshi Malik, and Bajrang Punia have been leading the protests, demanding the arrest of WFI chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh for the alleged sexual exploitation of women wrestlers. Amid increasingly dire warnings by top Indian wrestlers about the pace of the sexual harassment investigation against the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief, members of the 1983 World Cup-winning cricket team had urged the athletes not to take any extreme steps like throwing their hard-earned medals into holy Ganga.
