Ludhiana: Ludhiana Police solved the biggest money heist of Rs. 8.49 crores of a cash management company (CMS) in 60 hours. Police arrested five out of 10 accused involved in the robbery and also recovered some cash from their possession.

The information was revealed by the director general of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav and Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann through their official Twitter handles.

Mandeep Singh Sidhu, Ludhiana Commissioner of Police said, “in the wee hours of Saturday, a gang of assailants had barged into the office of a cash management company- CMS in Ludhiana’s Aman Park area. They jeld the employees and security personnel captive and robbed Rs. 8.49 crores. They took away the cash van in which two rifles were also kept. Later, the cash van with rifles were recovered from the village Pandori. Several teams were formed to crack the case and the police solved it in 60 hours with the arrest of five accused”.

The Police has recovered 70 percent of the cash and a black car used by the accused for travelling to the company.
