Chhattisgarh: With its recent crackdown on the urban support network and couriers of Maoists, Chhattisgarh Police has claimed to have choked the main supply chain of money, weapons, medicines and other kinds of aid to Naxals operating from their stronghold in Bastar region of the state.

Police recently arrested 5 people, they are residents of Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh region who they claimed were acting as conduits and were part of the channel providing logistic. Police seized one Duster car, one Hyundai car and 10 mobile phones from these people.

While disclosing whole matter, Kanker Superintendent of Police M R Ahire told media that from last 2 years these people were providing financial and other assistance to the Naxalites. On March 24, one police team arrested one of the main lead of Naxal network, who used to supply all kind of aids to Naxali’s. And during the investigation, he only revealed all names of Naxal chain.

Further Kanker SP added that under the PMGSY, Landmark engineer company and landmark royal engineer company, has given a tender of developing and constructing roads in Naxal affected areas like Antagarh, Amabeda, Sikasod and Koylibeda.

Later, this work got transferred to the Ajay Jain and Komal Verma who are partners of Rudransh Earth Movers through the letter of authority. While working in these Naxal affected areas, they both came in contact with Naxal organization and established a chain for Naxalites to supply uniforms, textiles, shoes, manpack sets, cash money and other materials.

Kanker Police is considering this case as a big success of the police team and assured that further investigation will be done in future. Among the arrested accused, Ajay Jain Komal, Prasad Verma, Prasad Verma is from Rajnandgaon, Rohit Nag is from Soylebheda, Sushil Sharma is from Meerut Uttar Pradesh and Suresh Sharanagat is resident of Balaghat.
