Maharashtra Budget 2025: The Maharashtra government presented the state budget on Monday. Finance Minister Ajit Pawar has presented the state government’s budget for 2025-26. The Maharashtra government has allocated Rs 36,000 crore for the Ladki Behan scheme in the budget. Apart from this, a scheme has been brought to clean the sewage water in all the municipalities. Rs 8200 crore has been allocated for this. A new metro line has also been announced between Mumbai and Pune. During his budget speech, Ajit Pawar expressed his gratitude to PM Modi and said that due to the Union Budget provisions, many state projects will receive adequate funds. On behalf of the people, I thank Prime Minister Modi”.

Budget of Rs 6,589 crore for roads:
Finance Minister Ajit Pawar said that under Phase-3, 23 works have been started for 755 km long roads at a cost of Rs 6589 crore.

Use of AI for the development of agriculture sector

AI will be used for the development of the agriculture sector. Under this, 50,000 farmers will be benefited in the first phase covering 1 lakh acres of agricultural land.

In the next one year, 64.4 km of metro lines will be laid in Mumbai and Pune. At the same time, the government has announced an elevated road from Thane to Navi Mumbai to connect Thane to Navi Mumbai airport.

A new innovation city will be built on 250 acres in Navi Mumbai

A new industry policy will be announced in Maharashtra. Under this, a target of investment of Rs 40 lakh crore and creation of 50 lakh jobs has been set. While presenting the budget, Ajit Pawar has announced that a new innovation city will be built on 250 acres in Navi Mumbai.

14,000 km of roads will be built in 3,582 villages with a population of more than 1,000

Under Mukhyamantri Gram Sadak Yojana Phase-3, 3,582 villages with a population of more than 1,000 will be connected to major district roads, state highways or national highways with 14,000 km of cement concrete roads. The total cost of this project is Rs 30,100 crore. Works worth Rs 8,000 crore will be done in the first phase.

Solar power project approved
A 200 MW solar power project worth Rs 1,594 crore has been approved for the Mhaisal Upsa irrigation scheme in Sangli district. Meanwhile, the Gosikhurd national project has already created irrigation potential for 12,332 hectares by December 2024. With an outlay of Rs 1,460 crore proposed for 2025-26, the project is on track to be completed by June 2026.

One District, One Product initiative

The ‘One District, One Product’ initiative will be implemented and districts will be developed as export hubs. The state has formulated a logistics policy under which 10,000 acres of land will be dedicated for development of logistics infrastructure
