Devotees are reaching Prayagraj in large numbers and taking bath in the Ganga. In Maha Kumbh, till 8 pm on Magh Purnima, 2.04 crore devotees took a dip in the Sangam. People’s bathing continues. So far, more than 48 crore devotees have taken a dip of faith.
This time in Maha Kumbh, 45 crore devotees are expected to take a dip in the holy confluence. This Kumbh, which is held every 12 years, is witnessing a special coincidence after 144 years, because 12 Kumbhs have been completed so far. This is why it is being called Maha Kumbh and the number of devotees coming in it is more than any previous Kumbh. In such a situation, the UP government has resorted to high-tech equipment to count the devotees coming to the Kumbh Mela and this time people are being counted with the help of AI-based cameras.
