Satna: Today marks the inception of the Maihar district in Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan dedicated this district to Goddess Sharda during his visit to Satna. CM Chouhan inaugurated the Vankatesh Lok in Satna, a temple reconstruction project costing approximately 80 million INR during his visit. He also inaugurated the installation of idols representing the ten avatars of Lord Vishnu at the ancient Venkatesh Temple. Additionally, CM Chouhan addressed a farmers’ gathering in Satna.

CM Chouhan stated that the Maihar district will soon be established, bringing further regional development. He emphasized that this new district will contribute to the growth and welfare of the people.

Moreover, CM Chouhan conducted the Bhumi Pujan (groundbreaking ceremony) and inaugurated development projects valued at around 11.14 billion INR across the district. During the event, he performed the Kanya Pujan ritual by showering flower petals on young girls and girls’ empowerment. Furthermore, CM Chouhan transferred 10.58 billion INR to 3 million farmers under the crop insurance scheme and 15.61 billion INR to 7.2 million farmers under the CM’s Farmer Fund through a single click. He also distributed 430,000 land titles.

In his speech, CM Chouhan highlighted the government’s developmental work, including infrastructure development, roads, and schools. He encouraged students by providing laptops and scooters to deserving students.

CM Chouhan applauded the farmers for their dedication, stating that they have increased crop production by 700% and doubled their income through farming. He urged everyone to support those who work diligently and seek blessings for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP, and himself.

This move aims further to boost the development and prosperity of the region, and the dedication of Maihar district is seen as a significant step towards achieving this goal.
