Bhopal: With the Madhya Pradesh assembly elections approaching, different community groups are coming together to assert their demands and shape the landscape. In Shivpuri, the Vaishya Samaj leadership has emerged as a voice advocating for representation in the upcoming polls. During a press conference held at Hotel Nakshatra in Shivpuri, the Vaishya Mahasammelan Madhya Pradesh expressed their expectations from parties.

Bharat Agarwal, State General Secretary of Vaishya Mahasammelan Madhya Pradesh, mentioned that they are willing to support a candidate who promises to protect and advance the interests of the Vaishya community. They stressed the importance of ensuring Vaishyas, who form a part of Madhya Pradesh’s population, receive political representation. To achieve this goal, a political resolution was passed during a meeting of the Regional Working Committee in Indore, calling for representation for the Vaishya community.

These community leaders made it clear that if political parties do not fulfil their demand for representation, they will take matters into their own hands. Furthermore, they announced plans for an awareness campaign to maximise voter turnout in the assembly elections. A Vaishya Chetna rally is scheduled for October 2nd. An organized Garva Festival will be held in October.

The BJP and the Congress in Madhya Pradesh are facing challenges due to the demands for tickets and fair representation from the Vaishya community.
