Gwalior: In Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, a disturbing series of discoveries unfolded over three consecutive days as severed human body parts were found. Despite the gravity of the situation, it took four days for the police to officially register a First Information Report (FIR) regarding these shocking findings. The FIR, filed under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), marks the commencement of a search for the unidentified individuals responsible. DNA analysis of the recovered body parts will be essential to identify the victim, and the Janakganj police station is actively managing the case.
Preliminary investigations by the Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) indicate a potential murder case. The grim discoveries began on September 29, with body parts emerging in the Ramkui drain over three days. It wasn’t until the night of October 3 that the FIR was filed. Post-mortem examinations and DNA testing will be pivotal in confirming the deceased’s identity.
Currently, family members of a missing person from the Bahodapur police station area in the city have expressed concerns that the unidentified body parts may belong to their missing relative. However, the conclusion is premature until the DNA and post-mortem reports are available. Significant progress in the case is expected upon receipt of the scientific reports.
The discovery of mutilated body parts under the Ramkuia bridge in the Janakganj police station area prompted an immediate police response. Before the arrival of the police, a crowd had already gathered at the scene. Initially, the police believed the body part to be that of an animal and sent it for post-mortem examination, only to discover that it was indeed human. Over three consecutive days, various other body parts were found, including a hand’s palm, a foot’s part, and a thigh. All the recovered organs have been sent for examination, and further actions will be taken once the DNA reports are available.
